FRIDAY - Main Stage
Chase & Status DJ Set
With Mc Rage
How many artists / producers can count Jay Z, Snoop Dogg and Pharell as fans as well as drum and bass’ finest Andy C, Hype and Pendulum; enjoy heavy rotation in the hands of dub-step royalty such as N-Type and Skream; and have each release enthusiastically supported by Annie Mac and Zane Lowe? This is what Saul Milton and Will Kennard, producing under the name Chase & Status, have achieved, and their debut LP ‘More Than Alot’ has helped turned them into a unique urban phenomenon.
They met at Manchester University through their mutual love of drum and bass in the mid nineties and have DJ’d ever since, waiting until 2004 for their first production, a remix for Future Cut. It was followed by a series of drum and bass anthems for the biggest underground labels including ‘Duppy Man’ for Breakbeat Kaos and ‘The Druids’ EP for DJ Zinc’s trendsetting Bingo label a year later. Their production work for Jenna G’s ‘In Love’ the same year earned them their first award, ‘Best Single’, as voted by over 40,000 listeners for the BBC 1Xtra Drum & Bass Awards.
Their debut album ‘More Than Alot’ was packed with the kind of drum and bass anthems that helped build their reputation, it also features tracks which show the diversity of their work: such as ‘Pieces’ featuring Plan B and the Radio 1 A-List single ‘Against All Odds’ featuring Kano. They have been asked to remix tracks by some of the world’s hottest artists including recent remixes of Jay Z’s ‘Death Of Auto-Tune’, The Prodigy’s ‘Invaders Must Die’ and White Lies ‘Death’.

SATURDAY - Big Top
Ministry of Sound - Addicted to Bass Tour
With The Wide Boys and Mc Majestic
plus 2SuckaDJs
Since 1991, Ministry of Sound London has been a phenomenon in the dance music scene, pioneering show stopping parties at the forefront of dance music culture.
Majestic started out as an MC plying his trade in the nightclubs of North London from the age of fifteen. He quickly managed to break onto the pirate radio stations that were playing UK Garage and early grime in 2002. In 2007, Majestic started posting mixtapes on online forums and within days of these posts he had interest from international promoters. He was now performing in front of crowds of thousands alongside DJs such as The Wideboys.
In early 2009, Majestic and The Wideboys finished ‘In The VIP’ which took a satirical look at the VIP culture that exists on the London club scene. Following this, other songs such as ‘Stand Together’ and ‘Running Up That Hill’ combined Majestic’s social message with standout pop production from The Wideboys. No longer on the sidelines, Majestic is ready to overcome any challenges that may face him, and get his music, and his message, to the masses.
The newly formed 2SuckaDJs are definitely making waves within the scene with
upfront and tight performances, it looks like round two for DJ Addiction and Richie Rich
who are ready to push this project right out there to the masses. 2SuckaDJs are all about pushing the new scene of UK bass infused house music.
(2 sucka DJs 11pm-12:30am, Wideboys 12:30–2am) |

SATURDAY - Fuelers Bar
Karl Philips & the Midnight Ramblers
When is a band not a band? Perhaps when it’s made up of disparate members whose combined musical heritage touches on orchestral, jazz, ska and, er, grime.
With so many influences, and a frontman who “was never really into music” it’s any wonder the four-piece ever got together. But here they stand ready to reveal the ingredients in their melting pot of ideas.
Now, what started as “a mock up band, put together for a laugh” is on the road to success with a crossover sound referencing dubstep, hip-hop and punk. Refreshingly honest, hilariously irreverent and always up for a pint, Karl Phillips and The Ramblers are one in the eye of an overtly arrogant scene, and an anti-thesis to skinny jeans. But don’t ask them about it, they’re just having a laugh.
